Google isn’t too happy about the new drone policy in the U.S

During the last few weeks American government has overhauled its drone policy, making it mandatory for all drones operating in the American airspace to disclose their locations as well as the locations of their pilot. The American government has argued that this newly amended laws are critical for national security and law enforcement issues. However, Google’s drone subsidiary company ‘Wing’ isn’t liking these new laws much. In an exclusive post written on Reuters, Google has claimed that these new laws will breach the privacy of American citizens (source).

Rip Adobe Flash, Goodbye Farm Ville

It is end of the road for Adobe Flash. Adobe ended the support for its most used flash software on 31^st December 2020. All major bowers including Chrome and Microsoft Edge have also ended their support for Adobe Flash. It is also end of the road for Farm Ville, one of the popular Facebook games. 2^nd January 2021 was its last day on Facebook. Farm Ville’s Mark Pincus shared this news on his personal Twitter account.

PlayStation 5 will debut in India on 2^nd February

Sony’s PlayStation 5 will make its official sales debut on 2^nd February. The company said that it will start taking pre-orders in India from January 12^th. The gaming console will be available for pre-order on all the major e-commerce websites including Flipkart and Amazon.

SoftBank is planning $200 Mn bail out for Bankrupt real estate startup Katerra

One of America’s hottest real estate startups Katerra has ended up in WeWork kind of a situation. The heavy cash burn rate has meant that Katerra is virtually left with no cash to operate its business. But its existing investor SoftBank, buoyed by the recent success of  DoorDash IPO, has decided to turn up as a savior. SoftBank is planning to invest $200 Mn and take up a majority stake in the bankrupt startup. (source)
