Gloo is Mobile Legends: Bang Bang’s first tank in a while

After not having a new tank released since last year, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang welcomes Gloo to its roster, ready to stick its way into a possible new meta.

In September of 2020, we saw Barats join the fray in MLBB, and while the hero has not seen a whole lot of play in the professional scene, it was the last time a tank was added to the game. Since then, there have been a string of Mages, Marksmen, Support and/or Fighter heroes, some of which have completely changed the game with their presence. Now, Gloo joins the battle and has some interesting abilities which seem like they could do exactly the same as its predecessors.

Gloo is here to stick on yo(o)u!

With a video released on April 11, 2021, MLBB confirmed the new hero’s abilities and let us know that it would be arriving soon – and now it is here. So, here is a breakdown of Gloo’s impressive array of sticky abilities:

Stick, Stick – Passive

Enemies that are hit with Gloo’s skills gain a stack of “Sticky”, which decreases movement speed for 6 seconds and stacks up to 5 times. Each stack of Gloo’s passive will also reduce the enemy in questions damage dealt towards the hero.

Slam, Slam – First Skill

Gloo reaches out and slams the ground in a line, damaging the targeted enemy and leaving a Goo puddle in the final location. While the puddle is mostly harmless (at first), after a short time, it will explode, dealing damage and immobilising enemies caught within the radius.

Gloo also has the ability to detonate the puddle instantly by stepping into its radiud.

Pass, Pass – Second Skill

Gloo stretches forward in a line, damaging all enemies caught in the path of this attack and immobalising them for a short time. However, if Pass, Pass collides with a Goo, left behind by Slam, Slam, the hero will charge forward, dragging enemies in its path into the Goo for a huge combination.

Split, Split – Ultimate

Gloo’s ultimate is split into two separate parts – the first being the split. When used, Gloo will split into twelve smaller blobs, each with 25% of the hero’s health and with increased movement speed as they move. During this time, Gloo recovers a percentage of its max health every second, while dealing damage to any targets within the impact radius.

Grab, Grab – Ultimate

The second part of Gloo’s ultimate is where the fun really sets in. Gloo attaches onto an enemy hero, giving them full stacks of its passive, while regenerating a large portion of its own health. Although immobile while attached, Gloo will have half of its normal skill cooldown, and a massive portion of damage done to Gloo will be transferred to the enemy hero to which it is attached. While this excludes turret damage, Gloo will still be able to leave the host if they get too close to their turrets.

Gloo has been out for nearly a full day now, and we have seen a lot of chaos caused already – but what remains to be seen is just how impactful it will be once available to the pro-players. To keep up with all the MLBB news, plus information from MPL, stay tuned.

Those who missed out on recent Japanese Pokémon TCG sets may be in luck.

Since the shortage began to occur in late 2020, Creatures, the company responsible for producing Pokémon TCG in Japan has been working to strengthen their production systems according to a series of posts to their website Pokemon-Card. But there still have been issues meeting the demand.

To remedy the stuation, they will be printing some of the affected sets once again, including the upcoming Eevee Heroes set launching later this month. While not yet available, pre-orders sold out rapidly, causing plenty of collectors to miss out.

In light of this, a lottery system will be introduced for those who still want to get their hands on these sets. Instead of purchasing them directly from Pokémon Centers or Stores in person, buyers will need to enter a lottery at Pokémon Center Online for the chance to purchase these reprinted items.

You can enter the lottery online beginning Friday, May 14 to Wednesday, May 19. The affected products that will be available are as follows.

  • Pokémon Card Game Sword & Shield Enhanced Expansion Pack Eevee Heroes BOX
  • Pokémon Card Game Sword & Shield Enhanced Expansion Pack Eevee Heroes Eevee’s Set
  • Pokémon Card Game Sword & Shield VMAX Special Set Eevee Heroes
  • Pokémon Card Game Sword & Shield High Class Deck Double Box Genger VMAX & Inteleon VMAX

If you got a pre-order for the sets during the limited opening window on May 7, you will not be eligible to participate in the lottery, amongst other rules that exclude certain people from this process. A full list of details can be found at Pokémon Center Online.

How to play VALORANT’s Replication game mode

Avatar

Published

on

Riot Games introduced Replication on May 11—a new limited-time game mode exclusive to VALORANT. But what is it and how exactly do you play it?

Replication is essentially VALORANT’s take on League’s One-For-All mode, pitting five of the same agent against five of another in a fast and fun, best-of-nine spike showdown.

“We definitely took inspiration from League’s One-For-All mode, but there’s so much that’s different between our games–for example, our roster is a fraction of the size of theirs–that we needed to make a lot of decisions differently too,” Lisa Ohanian, senior producer for VALORANT, said.

In the game mode, a pre-match vote determines which agent is selected for the match. If everyone chooses Raze, for example, players will load in with an army of Boom Bots raring to go.

Similar to the game’s unrated and competitive modes, you’re able to buy weapons in a pre-round buy phase in Replication. But there’s a set amount of credits for each round regardless if you win or lose.

  • First round: 900 creds – pistols and light shields, or even a bucky
  • Second round: 2,400 creds – spectre and light shields
  • Third round: 3,900 creds –  vandal, phantom, and heavy shields
  • Fourth round: 6000 creds – operator and heavy shields

Replication is an exciting new way to play the game, but it’s also a good way to grind XP for your battle pass.

Although it’s slightly slower than playing Deathmatch or Spike Rush, you can earn a decent chunk of XP. Like unrated, you collect 100 XP per round played and an additional 200 XP per round won. You can also tick off your daily and weekly missions, which is just another added bonus.

Replication will be available to play for two weeks, starting on May 11 and ending on May 25. A new game mode, or more likely an old one, will take its place in the rotation.

When will PUBG Mobile’s new Arena map Hangar release?

Avatar

Published

on

PUBG Mobile’s patch 1.4 has introduced the Titan Strikes mode, over-the-shoulder shooting mode, and Coupe RB sports car to the vehicle selection. Another exciting feature, a new arena map called Hangar, will be added to the game on a later date.

Tencent has confirmed that the Hangar map will be available on June 1. The map is set on a ship and is scattered with shipping containers and other supplies. There is a helicopter at the center of the map.

The map is fairly large, and the containers provide a lot of cover to the players. Players will be able to engage in close to mid-range battles on it.

There will be three supported arena modes in Hangar– team deathmatch, arena training, and team gun game.

  • Team deathmatch:
    • The first team to reach the target number of kills will achieve victory. It has unlimited respawns.
  • Arena training:
    • It’s similar to the TDM mode with one key difference: players will be able to select any weapon from the spawn point.
    • They aren’t required to set up a loadout before the game.
  • Team Gun Game:
    • In this mode, all players will begin with the same weapon.
    • The weapon will keep upgrading on getting more kills.
    • The first team to eliminate the opponent with the final weapon, the pan, will achieve victory.
    • In case this doesn’t happen, the team with the higher score when the countdown ends will be the winner.

Until the map debuts next month, players can enjoy the Titan Strikes mode in PUBG Mobile. In this, titans from the sci-fi movie Godzilla vs. Kong have ascended into the maps of the battle royale game. Players will be able to encounter Godzilla, Kong, and the Mechagodzilla through this mode.
