Fly Baghdad Airlines has suspended operations with this announcement:
“In accordance with the decision of the government and Prime Minister Mohammed al-Sudani, Fly Baghdad will cease operating flights from now until further notice.”
In January 2024, U.S. Treasury Department sanctioned Fly Baghdad and its CEO for providing assistance to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corpsvand its proxy groups in Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon by transporting fighters and weapons.
