FIFA 21 Team of the Season is set to start on Friday, April 23. One of the most anticipated squads for Team of the Season is the Bundesliga team, with the potential for some amazing end-game cards.

Before the team is revealed, here is five of our predictions for who should get into the Bundesliga TOTS squad.

1.Erling Braut Haaland

Throughout the past two years, Erling Haaland has taken the Bundesliga by storm, and the entire football world seems to have their eyes on this 20-year old every time he hits the pitch. A once-in-a-generation goal scorer, Haaland has brought many more fans to Dortmund, and attracted attention from some of the top clubs in the world, including Real Madrid, Liverpool, Chelsea and others.

This season Haaland has scored 23 goals and nabbed six assists in just 24 appearances in the Bundesliga, as well as ten goals in the Champions League. The young man showed in his sophomore season in the German Division that he isn’t a one-hit wonder, the lad is here to stay. In FIFA, he has received a few special cards including two in-forms and two champions league performance cards, so his TOTS card will definitely be very high rated and sought after for his lights out shooting, pace and on-field presence up front.

2. Joshua Kimmich

Despite an upset exit from the Champions League by way of PSG, Bayern Munich has been one of the best teams in Europe over the past year, especially in their league, and one of the biggest reasons behind that success is the consistency of Joshua Kimmich. The right-back-turned defensive midfielder has has plenty of masterclass performances for Bayern, in both the Champions League and Bundesliga.

While he isn’t a top goal scorer or assister, Kimmich is a reliable anchor-man in midfield who can win the ball from the opposition and slow down attacks, even stopping them and becoming the engine in Bayern counter-attacks. In FIFA, he has many performance-based cards, including his Team of the Year card at 96 rated, so a TOTS card may be equally or perhaps even rated above that. It is certainly deserved.

3. Thomas Muller

Thomas Muller has continued to be a catalyst in the Bayern Attack for over a decade. This season has been no different for the now 31-year old. Recording 10 goals and 17 assists for the Bundesliga leaders this season, Muller is one of the most favored players in the league and around the world, as well as one of the most under-appreciated.

In FIFA, Muller has received a Player Moments SBC card as well as a few in-forms, but this season as much as ever, many players and fans of the game felt like he was robbed of a TOTY card. EA would do well by giving him a deserving TOTS card, for his crucial role in Bayern winning the Treble last season and his role in leading them to the top place in the German league this year.

4. Andre Silva

Frankfurt have been one of the biggest surprises this season, currently sitting fourth in the Bundesliga. The biggest contributor to this success, Andre Silva.

The Portuguese Striker is tied for second in the Bundesliga with Erling Haaland for goals with 23 goals, a career high for him in a single season. Silva has bounced around for the last few season, but he has made himself right at home in Germany this year, and has proved himself deserving of a Player of the Month award, three informs, and a potential Team of the Season Card in FIFA 21. A potential great card commemorating one of the great stories in the Bundesliga this year.

5. Robert Lewandowski

Arguably the best for last, you simply cannot name any best 11 for the Bundesliga without mentioning this man’s name. Lewandowski has set the bar for not just Bundesliga players, but players worldwide, for being the best number 9. Despite the wonderkid Haaland, who may be next up, and a few bangs and bruises this season, Lewandowski has scored 35 goals this Bundesliga Season and grabbed six assists, in only 25 appearances. Before his recent injury, he was on pace to match or break the all-time Bundesliga scoring record for a season set by Bayern Legend Gerd Muller.

He’s got the informs, Player of the Month award, and a TOTY card already that make him a top player in FIFA 21, and a TOTS is all buy guaranteed to be coming with his name on it. There just aren’t many players like “Lewan-goalski.”
