February’s Remaining Xbox Game Pass Titles Have Been Revealed

Date:

Xbox Game Pass February 2022

Here’s what’s else is coming to Xbox Game Pass this February! Yay!

Okay, we’re being a teensy bit sarcastic, but this month’s remaining offerings are heavily, heavily weighted towards the PC. The first batch of titles were evenly balanced and between Dying Light 2, the upcoming Elden Ring and our existing backlog we’re not short on games to play.

But still, we can’t but help feel short changed, given that there are two console games joining the service (we’re not counting the cloud release of Mass Effect Legendary Edition) and five PC games. And both of those console games are only available to those with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. If you’re a regular Xbox Game Pass subscriber you get nothing.

Here’s what’s on the way. The titles marked EA Play are only available if you have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

  • Mass Effect Legendary Edition (Cloud) EA Play – Out Now
  • Madden NFL 22 (Console and PC) EA Play – February 17
  • Total War: Warhammer III (PC) – February 17
  • Roboquest (Game Preview) (PC)  – February 22
  • Galactic Civilizations III (PC) – February 24
  • Super Mega Baseball 3 (Console) EA Play – February 24
  • Alice: Madness Returns (PC) EA Play – February 28

So are any of these worth having? We’ve never reviewed it, because it was pre-GameSpew, but Alice: Madness Returns, a skewed take on Alice in Wonderland is well worth a look. It made our list of 12 Amazing Games We Never Finished so maybe you can beat us in that regard.

We also got a kick out Madden NFL 22, though we remarked in our review that it’s not changed an awful lot since the previous entry in the series. We’ve also got fond memories of playing Galactic Civilizations III, though admittedly that was just because we wanted to build a Death Star.

Given that these titles are “free” to subscribers, if you’re a PC player you’ve nothing to lose by dabbling in the others. Now, if you’ll excuse us, we’re off to shake our fist at a cloud that vaguely resembles a gaming laptop.
