Last week, Adobe, which is known for its photo editing software Photoshop, revealed about its new experimental audio AI Tool. This tool not only creates music through simple text prompts but it also helps in refining your music further. It can refine the music by adjusting its tempo, structure, and repetition. You can even increase its intensity, extend its length, remix sections, or create loops. Thanks to this feature. You don’t have to take the help of any editing tool to further refine your music. However, Adobe hasn’t given any clear idea when it plans to launch this audio tool publicly.

Nvidia CEO makes yet another sensational claim about AI
Jensen Huang, the CEO of chip making company Nvidia, has made yet another bold claim about artificial intelligence. Speaking at an event he said that artificial intelligence or AI could potentially pass any human exam or medical test within the next five years. However, Huang later clarified that his prediction specifically applies to artificial general intelligence or AGI, which refers to hypothetical AI that can perform any intellectual task that humans can perform. Only barely few days back, Nvidia’s CEO claimed that AI will one day become so powerful in programming that the world won’t need human coders. Overall, Huang’s statement highlights the rapid advancements in AI but one should be still mindful about capabilities and limitations of AI.

Threads API is launching in June
Threads, Meta’s microblogging platform that competes with Elon Musk’s ‘X,’ is set to release its API to developers in June 2024. Thanks to this, developers will now be able to create new apps that interact with Threads, allowing users to manage their accounts, post content, and access information more easily through various platforms. Overall, these enhanced functionalities will help Threads to compete more efficiently with X. It has been reportedly testing with select partners like Hootsuite and Sprout Social before the official rollout. Over the last few months, Threads has been launching new features to increase platform’s user engagement, which is still very low as compared to ‘X.’

Spotify launches an audiobook-only subscription
Spotify has decided to bet big on the audiobook market by rolling out audiobook only subscription. The subscription will cost $9.99 per month and offers 15 hours of audiobook listening each month. Users will have access to Spotify’s library of more than 200,000 titles. While seemingly similar to Spotify Premium, which costs $11 per month and also includes audiobook feature, the new audiobook only subscription offers additional features. This plan is currently only available in the US as of today and is likely to be launched in new markets in the coming months.
