In April 2024, the IQT the Hague conference will host Eleni Diamanti, a distinguished CNRS Research Director at the LIP6 laboratory of Sorbonne Université in Paris, bringing her extensive expertise in quantum networks, quantum cryptography, and communication protocols to the forefront of discussions. Diamanti’s academic journey, from her studies in Greece to obtaining her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and her subsequent role as a Marie Curie postdoctoral fellow, has positioned her as a leading figure in the quantum technology community.

At CNRS, Diamanti’s research is at the cutting edge of quantum technology, focusing on the development of photonic resources essential for the creation and expansion of quantum networks. Her work on implementing quantum cryptography and communication protocols is critical for the future of secure communication, making her insights invaluable for advancing quantum technologies.

As a recipient of a prestigious European Research Council grant and the coordinator of the Paris Centre for Quantum Technologies, Diamanti’s contributions to the field have been recognized at the highest levels. Her involvement with the Quantum Internet Alliance (QIA) further underscores her influence and commitment to driving forward the development of a quantum internet.

At the IQT The Hague conference, Diamanti is expected to share her insights into the latest advancements in photonic resources for quantum networks, the practical implementation of quantum cryptography, and the overall progress toward realizing quantum communication protocols, using her work at CNRS as an example. Her presentation will likely cover the challenges and breakthroughs in developing scalable and secure quantum networks, the role of quantum cryptography in protecting information, and the collaborative efforts required to advance the quantum internet.

IQT The Hague 2024 is the Netherlands’ fifth global conference and exhibition. The Hague is a Quantum Technology Event focusing on Quantum Networking and Quantum Security. Ten vertical topics encompassing more than 40-panel talks from over 100 speakers will provide attendees with a deep understanding of state-of-the-art developments of the future quantum internet and the current impact of quantum-safe technologies on cybersecurity and quantum computers.

The conference brings together corporate management, entrepreneurs, end users, technology providers, infrastructure partners, researchers, and investors working on current developments. IQT The Hague is organized by 3DR Holdings, IQT Research, QuTech, QIA (Quantum Internet Alliance), and Quantum Delta NL, who will bring leading organizations and professionals together in this important event. The April conference is “in-person” to ensure maximum networking and discussion at the Postillion Hotel & Convention Centre in The Hague.
