Diablo II: Resurrected playable classes are the same as the original Diablo 2 and its expansion Lord of Destruction. Players can access the expansion once you finish the game, but you can play the Druid and the Assassin from the start. Each class has three trees to choose from, giving you multiple options to play each class.

As with any game, there are optimal builds for every class, but Diablo II: Resurrected does a fairly good job of making multiple builds viable. And since the game isn’t as end-game-focused as Diablo III, fans should feel no pressure in playing a certain way.

Here is the list of playable classes.

Each class does something different. The Druid is the jack-of-all-trades, giving players a support, tank, and damage dealer. The Sorceress is the best damage dealer, especially later in the game. You just have to survive her early game. The Necromancer is great at off-tanking with their summons and dealing damage.

If you want to use almost any melee weapon in the game, and still deal out damage, the Barbarian is for you. The Amazon is maybe the least fun to play overall, but once you unlock her full kit, she’s a lot more viable. Paladin is created like a tank and support, but the class has a great AoE DPS build. Lastly, the Assassin is much like the Sorceress and has a rough time at the start, but gets pretty powerful toward the end.
