The AWPer has won four CSGO Majors and bagged 19 MVP awards throughout his illustrious career. During a recent sitdown with Escorenews.com, the Astralis legend shared his opinion on who he believes was the best player in Counter-Strike’s previous iteration.

Dev1ce, the legendary Astralis sniper, recently weighed in on the discussion about the best-ever CSGO player. Despite securing four Major championships, this superstar feels that his personal performance throughout the CSGO era isn’t sufficient to lay claim to the CSGO GOAT crown. The 28-year-old is delighted to leave a lasting impact on the competitive CSGO scene but maintains that he doesn’t consider himself the best.

“[Do you consider yourself the greatest player of all time in CSGO?] Nah… For me, s1mple, Sasha is the best. I think he was the best for a long time. I know I won more than him. But it also means a lot to me to thrive in individual skill — I was never the best in a year. For me, it’s natural to look at s1mple. And I also think ZywOo could be up there with s1mple, if he had more years. But I’m happy to be the guy who won the most [Majors] and had a big part in that.”

Device secured victories at the ELEAGUE Major Atlanta 2017, FACEIT Major: London 2018, IEM Katowice 2019, and StarLadder Berlin Major 2019 while representing Astralis. Throughout the period from 2015 to the present, he consistently achieved five placements within the top three of the HLTV Top-20 yearly rankings, but he never managed to claim the coveted first position.
