Brazilian Counter Strike: Global Offensive star Marcelo “coldzera” David is set to join compLexity to replace Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke who is expected to be in recovery for the foreseeable future, according to a joint report from Dexerto, 1pv and ge.

According to the report, coldzera make his compLexity debut in the BLAST Premier Fall Groups on Sept. 24. Their first tournament match will be against coldzera’s former team FaZe, from which he was benched after a string of sub-par results.

Coldzera will be joining compLexity after they finish their ESL Pro League Season 14 playoffs, but Niels “NaToSaphiX” Sillassen will be a stand-in player until that point.

The length of the Brazilian’s stint on compLexity will likely depend on k0nfig’s recovery. K0nfig recently updated fans on his wrist injury stating that the cast will not be removed until Sept. 15. After that date the Dane will still have to undergo rehabilitation before he is entirely recovered.

If confirmed, compLexity’s new lineup will be Benjamin “blameF” Bremer, Valentin “poizon” Vasilev, Justin “jks” Savage, Patrick “es3tag” Hansen, and coldzera all alongside k0nfig who is on medical leave.

Entropiq shock Heroic to lock in Legends Stage spot

Published

on

An exciting series between Entropiq and Heroic was concluded in favor of the underdog team, 2-1, to ensure their advancement to the Legends Stage where the likes of Natus Vincere, Liquid, and G2 await.

Heroic was in a great spot to close out the series in two, having won their opponent’s map pick of Ancient and taken a 6-1 lead on the T side of Nuke, but Dmitry “hooch” Bogdanov‘s men didn’t give up.

Fearless play on the offensive sides of Nuke and Mirage got Entropiq back into the game and led them to the eventual victory in the series. With prior wins over Astralis and Movistar Riders they are propelled into the next stage, while Heroic‘s loss combined with an earlier one against Copenhagen Flames put Casper “cadiaN” Møller‘s team on the brink of elimination.

Entropiq didn’t give up after a loss on their map pick

Heroic picked up a 5-1 lead on the defensive side of Ancient but failed to leverage a hot start into a strong halftime result. Vladislav “Krad” Kravchenko‘s double entry on B started a good run for Entropiq who broke their opponents’ money to equalize at 5-5. The Russians looked good to end the half ahead, but Ismail “refrezh” Ali supported a B site retake for a minimal Heroic lead before the switch.

With a 3-1 CT start things were looking good for Entropiq, but they failed to provide much more on the defensive side of their map pick. Heroic‘s notoriously tricky mid-rounds were impossible to deal with for Aleksey “NickelBack” Trofimov‘s team, who didn’t manage a single gun round and fell 16-10.

CT woes continued for Entropiq on Nuke as Heroic played with their rotations to set up a 6-1 lead. A lobby push stopped that streak and recognizing what works, Entropiq continued to get into Heroic‘s faces to salvage the half. From 7-8, the CIS side pushed on to take a 13-9 lead, Heroic fought back with good individual holds, but eventually faltered to the great opening work displayed by NickelBack and Krad.

Explosive rounds from Entropiq continued on Mirage, giving little respect to the team ranked No. 5 in their world as they took mid control and performed site splits with little objection from Heroic. Not a single Danish player reached double digits as they swapped sides 11-4 behind, and there was no danger in that lead for Entropiq, despite what common wisdom says. NickelBack‘s team won the pistol and closed out the map to claim the series, 2-1.

Star Ocean: The Divine Force has been announced for consoles and PC, as part of yesterday’s State of Play.

The next installment in Square Enix’s popular RPG franchise has been announced. Star Ocean: The Divine Force is the first major entry into the franchise since 2016’s Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness, making it the sixth main installment overall. Developed by Square Enix and tri-Ace, the game is set to be a blend of sci-fi and fantasy, with a rich story that changes based on player choices.

Star Ocean: The Divine Force will feature a lineup of various playable characters, with the “Double Hero” system set to return. This allows the story to unfold from the perspective of each protagonist, one from an advanced civilization and the other from an underdeveloped planet.

According to the PlayStation blog post by Square Enix’s Sho Ishida, the game is set to feature the fastest and mightiest action to date. Players will be able to make a direct assault on enemies at high speeds, utilize skills to dispatch or confuse enemies, and freely fly around the world while looking for battles.

So far, the release date stands at 2022. With no specific date mentioned as of yet, players might have a bit longer to wait before they can get stuck into Star Ocean: The Divine Force. It looks like 2022 is shaping up to be a jam-packed year for video games.

The game is set to release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
