  • Adapting risk management strategies in dynamic environments
  • Primary risk management challenges and opportunities in different areas of the world

Career Outcomes

Graduates of the MA in Global Risk program are specialized in the analysis of diverse aspects of risk across a wide spectrum (political, financial, environmental, military, cybersecurity etc.), the anticipation of consequences, and the evaluation of the appropriate response. As a result, they are well-suited for consultant and data analyst positions as well as management roles in a wide range of environments.

Admissions Requirements

The Johns Hopkins SAIS admissions committee takes a holistic approach to reviewing candidates. All aspects of an applicant’s background will be considered, including their professional and academic history, letters of recommendation and analytical essays. 

There is no minimum GPA requirement, and applicants are not required to take the GMAT or GRE for admission.
