We found supporters really liked the donation aspect of the campaign. Being able to sell more quantities by donating copies to local schools.”

This was a great addition to the rewards they offered, giving supporters the chance not only to purchase a pre-order of the book for themselves but also to nominate a local school to receive some additional copies of the finished book.

What resources did you find helpful?

“The local support from the Pozible team. The blog posts and recently successful articles were great also great in helping with the initial setup of the campaign. I also liked the constant check box instructions of what to do throughout the campaign.”

Anything you would do differently?

“Set a higher goal from the beginning. Have a better social media strategy in place for mid-campaign. We relied heavily on PR and due to launching the same week as the Corona Virus outbreak entered the news stream we didn’t receive the media support that we were initially expecting.”

Planning your promotional strategy carefully and having consistent and regular updates scheduled is what can make or break a campaign.
