Bluescape achieves achieved FedRAMP Authorization on AWS at the Moderate Impact Level through sponsorship of the U.S. Air Force.

Bluescape® announced today that it has achieved Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP®) Authorization on Amazon Web Services (AWS) at the Moderate Impact Level through sponsorship of the U.S. Air Force. Agencies from across the public, industry, and academic sectors, can now confidently leverage Bluescape’s virtual workspaces to improve their agility, coordination, and outcomes regardless of their mission.

“The government is increasingly demanding access to secure visual tools to support employees and distributed teams who now need to collaborate virtually on everything from simple whiteboarding and brainstorming sessions, to more complex incidence response programs and training AI/ML models,” said John Greenstein, GM, Global Public Sector at Bluescape. “We are grateful to everyone at the GSA and DoD, especially the US Air Force, not only for sponsoring us at Impact Level 4 to meet their own needs, but also going the extra step to help us achieve FedRAMP Moderate, which brings this new capability to Civilian Agencies, too.”

With FedRAMP authorization status, Bluescape is now certified by the federal government to satisfy cloud security requirements and help accelerate federal agencies’ digital transformation. This further validates the use of Bluescape’s virtual workspaces to process, store, and transmit federal government data.

“The imperative to explore commercial tech solutions that meet the most stringent security standards, as defined by the Department of Defense and FedRAMP, must not be ignored if we are to meet the mission-critical work in front of us with the urgency it requires,” said Nathan J. Johnsen, Captain USAF, Training and Education Development Lead for Air Force CyberWorx.

“Cloud computing plays a key role in how government organizations can achieve operational efficiencies, meet mandates, increase innovation, and accelerate mission outcomes,” said Omar Altalib, director, Strategy, Partnerships and Growth at AWS. “Bluescape’s FedRAMP Authorization on AWS will allow them to further support their government customers and improve the services they provide to their constituents.”

FedRAMP is a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization, and nearly continuous monitoring for cloud services as defined by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

By achieving FedRAMP Authorization on AWS, Bluescape is now able to deliver its cloud-based visual cooperation platform to U.S. federal agencies. Agencies can request access to the Bluescape security package, review that package, and issue an Authority to Operate (ATO) all within the FedRAMP Marketplace.

With its FedRAMP authorized solution, Bluescape extends its support for secure workplaces. Deployable on the cloud or on premise, Bluescape’s air-gapped solution recently achieved the Defense Information Services Agency (DISA) security designation to support Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) at DoD Impact Level 5 (IL5). Bluescape is available from several contract vehicles and channels, including the 8(a) program, internal Military Interdepartmental Purchase Request (MIPR), General Services Administration (GSA), Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP), and in AWS Marketplace.
