A Bellevue Heights property has been snapped up in a million-dollar deal after attracting 25 offers.

The four-bedroom, two bathroom house at 6 Gorge Rd proved popular among keen househunters, with 130 groups inspecting the home and 25 making written offers over two weeks.

It officially changed hands earlier this week for $1.022m – $522,000 more than it last sold for in September 2018.

Selling agent Reece Pilgrim, of Ray White Norwood, said the sellers had extensively renovated the home, which was its main appeal.

“They purchased back in 2018 and they’ve done a full internal renovation on it so it was turnkey and ready to go,” he said.

“It was on a good street and very well renovated.

“Anything on the market that’s been well finished just gets bombarded.”

Mr Pilgrim said it attracted interest locally and from interstate, including Melbourne and Sydney.

“When it went online and I started to receive the amount of inquiries I received, I thought we were going to be up for a pretty big first weekend,” he said.

A local family ultimately secured the property, which is 790sq m and has a large outdoor entertainment area with a pizza oven.

Mr Pilgrim said the sale price was well above expectation.

“It’s a pretty amazing result,” he said.

Property records show the house is one of four to sell for more than $1m in the suburb so far this year.

There are only 11 homes in suburb to have sold for a seven-figure price.

According to PropTrack data, the median house price in Bellevue Heights is $818,000.
