Beatoven.ai, an AI-powered music creator startup for video and podcast content creators, has raised $1.3 Mn (INR 11 Cr) in a pre-Series A funding round led by Capital 2B, with participation from IvyCap Ventures, Upsparks Capital, Rukam Capital, and several angel investors.
The funding will fuel Beatoven’s growth across user experience, team expansion for research and development in music creation and composition, and the development of a scalable go-to-market strategy to reach new users globally.
Co-founded by Mansoor Rahimat Khan and Siddharth Bhardwaj, Beatoven helps content creators produce royalty-free, affordable, easy-to-license, and original music, with intuitive editing features. The startup also aims to support independent musicians through its artist-friendly data sourcing program, recognized for its ethical practices.
Khan stated, “Within roughly a year of launch, we have seen tremendous growth on our product reaching 1 Mn users with 96% of our revenues coming from global markets such as the US, Europe, and South Korea, as well as a presence for our product in 100+ countries.”
Beatoven leverages AI for text-to-music generation, allowing users to input prompts. It is also testing multimodal inputs where users can input video/images, text, and audio references to generate a closely aligned music track. The platform provides granular control over volume, instruments, and emotions.
The startup claims to have a user base of 1 Mn globally, with 96% of its revenue coming from international markets. It has already established partnerships with over 200 artists and plans to expand this network significantly by collaborating with at least 500 artists within the next 2-3 years.
