Apple acquires DarwinAI, a Canadian startup renowned for its vision-based technology aimed at optimizing manufacturing processes

Although the financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed, as reported by Bloomberg, Apple has acquired DarwinAI who distinguished itself in the AI sector by developing technology that meticulously oversees manufacturing components, thereby ensuring improved efficiency and quality in production. This acquisition comes at a time when the tech giant is keen on integrating more AI-driven features into its products, especially in areas related to generative AI and on-device processing capabilities.

Prior to its acquisition, DarwinAI had successfully raised over $15 million in funding from notable investors such as BDC Capital’s Deep Tech Venture Fund, Honeywell Ventures, Obvious Ventures, and Inovia Capital.
