A cascade of words, color, shapes and sounds awaits with the release of Llamasoft and Atari’s Akka Arrh in the VR space – see it for yourself with its new launch trailer.

Created by Jeff Minter, Akka Arrh is based on a secret Atari prototype that has now been released to the masses.

will task players with mounting a turret as they take the fight against swarms of inbound attackers. There’s a twist, though; if enemies penetrate one’s perimeter, they’ll need to zoom into close range combat and fight back.

No matter the perspective, combos, high scores, and survival are at the forefront of one’s goals. However, one can do so with style, creating massive chains of enemy explosions and racking up ammo for combos in the process.

Note that this version of Akka Arrh has been optimized for the PlayStation 5 to include PS VR2 support.
