Gulf Air will be officially added to our growing, and world’s largest roster, of more than 40 airline travel partners. Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, commenced operations in 1950, becoming one of the first commercial airlines established in the Middle East. Today, Gulf Air is an international carrier serving 55 cities in 30 countries with modern fleet consisting of the A320 family and the 787 Dreamliner. Gulf Air’s boutique approach offers a premium experience, particularly in Falcon Gold Business Class.

This new partnership expands Aeroplan’s presence and gives members more choice, more inventory, and a more diverse product offering when it comes to airline options serving the Middle East and South Asia. We’re also proud to be the only frequent flyer program in North America offering the opportunity to earn and redeem on Gulf Air flights.

For convenience, please find below the Aeroplan accrual chart for flights operated by Gulf Air:

• Members can earn Aeroplan points based on distance flown on all scheduled flights operated by Gulf Air.

In terms of Aeroplan Flight Rewards on Gulf Air flights, please note the following:

• Flights will be priced based on Aeroplan’s pricing for partner airlines.
• Members will be able to book Gulf Air flights online at aircanada.com, through the
  Air Canada mobile app, or via Aeroplan’s Contact Centre.
• Flights can be combined with flights operated by Air Canada and our other international airline partners.
• Gulf Air flights are eligible for redemption in Business and Economy classes.
• The partner booking fee will apply for flight rewards which include travel on Gulf Air.

The addition of Gulf Air follows on the heels of the addition of Eurowings Discover and is our eighth new airline to join the program since June 2020.
