Phasmophobia “Server Version Mismatch” is a rather frustrating error.

Phasmophobia is an indie four-player co-op psychological horror game developed by Kinetic Games. Released in early access on Sept. 18 for PC with crossplay VR support, Phasmophobia players pose as a team of paranormal investigators exploring haunted locations filled with ghosts and paranormal activity. Even though it is still in the early access stage and is only a little over one month old, Phasmophobia climbed to the top ten most hours watched game on Twitch in the last 30 days with 46.61 million hours watched and 254,132 peak viewers.

One of the issues players run into is “Server Version Mismatch” error. This error typically occurs when a player attempts to join a private lobby, even with a shared code. Below are a couple of things worth trying to “fix” the issue:
