When Is it?
The event will then run through November 9, 2022, going live starting on October 25, 2022. Overwatch is known well for hosting special events during the holiday seasons. Even though season 1 of Overwatch 2 has just gone live, there still will be a Halloween event in store for the sequel. The new event will be Junkenstein’s Revenge Wrath of the Bride.
New Game Mode
Junkenstein’s Revenge Wrath of the Bride is the sequel to the Halloween game mode in Overwatch 1, Junkenstein’s Revenge.
The original game mode consisted of a 4-player co-op horde mode. Players would have to work together to survive countless waves of Zomnics. It looks like this time around the main antagonist will be Sombra. Players can choose from Sojourn, Junker Queen, Kiriko, and Ashe to be their playable characters.
New Halloween Skins
Regarding Halloween cosmetics, players can expect skins for characters such as Junker Queen, Kiriko, and Reaper. There will also be challenges to complete to unlock special name cards like the “Nightfall Over Adlersbrunn”, the Jack-o’-Lantern Weapon Charm, Battle Pass XP, and other rewards
Double XP Dates
As an apology for any issues players experienced around the game’s launch. There will be several Double Match XP days. One of those weekends occurs during the Halloween festivities.
The XP Weekends are as follows :
- October 21, 11 AM PT – October 24, 11 AM PT
- October 28, 11 AM PT – October 31, 11 AM PT
- November 24, 11AM PT – November 28, 11AM PT
