VR Entertainment Platform AmazeVR and Hip-hop duo Ceraadi to Hold Immersive Concert This Fall

Date:

It’s now the middle of 2020 and live, in-person events seem like a distant memory. In place of attending a live concert, innovative online solutions have cropped up allowing artists to connect with their fans in new ways. The latest comes from AmazeVR – the platform which has previously featured Ukrainian LED dance troupe Light Balance – as it looks to provide a multi-sensory experience in collaboration with Roc Nation’s R&B/Hip-hop duo Ceraadi.

Generally, AmazeVR tends to feature interactive movies with this latest announcement expanding its cloud-based solution into a concert format. The virtual music experience is said to include “high-resolution live-action video, stereoscopic CG elements, and haptic motion” as it combines live music performance with VR.

Utilising custom cameras, a proprietary VFX pipeline, and motion data-tracking technology AmazeVR only needs artists for 1 – 2 days to create the virtual concert, far less intensive than the months a normal tour takes.

“I think for any artist, COVID has presented crazy challenges in terms of sharing their music and connecting with fans,” said Emaza Gibson of Ceraadi in a statement. “We’re always looking for ways to provide good energy and make people happy, and right now positive vibes are more important than ever. We can’t wait for people to see the show we’ve come up with. AmazeVR set us loose to bring it in a way that’s never been done while still keeping everyone safe.”

“The music industry has yet to be well-represented within the VR landscape, and we see limitless potential for artists and labels to create something unique,” said Steve Lee, CEO of AmazeVR. “At the same time, this is VR’s moment as people are spending more time at home than ever before, craving new ways to experience the world. Music presents a tremendous opportunity to introduce VR to new audiences. AmazeVR’s technology combined with content and vision from Ceraadi will deliver beautiful, creative, and entertaining experiences that allow people to step outside of their current reality.”

Ceraadi’s first immersive concert is expected to debut this fall through the AmazeVR app. Supporting headsets including Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and Valve Index, the app is free to download from Oculus Store or Steam.  For further updates on AmazeVR as new content arrives, keep reading  VRFocus.
