An unfinished home in Adelaide’s foothills that looks like it was abandoned mid-build has fetched an impressive price.

The Greenhill property at 93 Yarrabee Rd was snapped up for $775,000 – just above Adelaide’s median house price of $758,000, according to latest PropTrack data.

It was an impressive result for the property, which is only partially finished inside, as CoreLogic data shows it has an estimated value of $635,000.

Selling agent Rachael Pavli, of Fox Real Estate, couldn’t comment on the property as its sale was under instruction from the Public Trustee.

However, she said in her listing the property offered “an opportunity of a lifetime” because of its outstanding views in a calm, country environment that was close to the city, Burnside Village and Stirling.

The house is on a 2070sq m block with breathtaking views over Slape Gully.

Building consent was granted in the 1980s but the house appears to be incomplete inside and the property listing says the status of construction is unknown.

Its floorplan shows it has three bedrooms, two bathrooms – one of which is an ensuite – and an open kitchen, living and dining area at its heart.

Two of the bedrooms and the main living area open onto a balcony that overlooks the picturesque Slape Gully.

The property also has a 4.8m by 4.6m carport with a panel lift door.

Property records show it was on the market for just two weeks before it was snapped up.

Greenhill doesn’t have a median house price as there have been too few sales in the suburb to determine an accurate figure.
