Whenever we plan a trip, besides the joy of a new experience that awaits us, we feel anxious about what we need to pack, regardless of the dirty clothes we have to bring back.
The online magazine dedicated to discovering the best of innovative design products in the world, Yanko Design, has published a video on its YouTube channel about a mini travel washing machine. As small as a bottle of water but functional, it is presented as the solution to reduce the load of dirty clothes to pack in your suitcase. This little machine can sanitise briefs, socks, gloves and even some T-shirts if they are not too big. The wash takes 15 to 30 minutes at high temperature and eliminates all batteries and germs.
You don’t need detergent because there’s no soap or water, but the mini dryer has an elastic alloy of nickel and titanium in the lower section, which changes shape during use, similar to an upturned lampshade, cleaning and refreshing dirty, sweaty and stained garments. In fact, it’s probably more of a dryer than a washing machine, but we really like the idea. Unfortunately, this is a prototype, so we have to wait a bit to find out the cost and the time of availability on the market.
