Fort Worth criminal defense lawyer Matt Peacock of The Medlin Law Firm spoke at the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyer Association’s 16th Annual DWI Defense Project, Breaking Blood. Matt talked about final arguments in trials.

Breaking Blood is a one-day course designed for attorneys to help them better assist clients when going to trial. The seminar covered advanced DWI-related topics, including obtaining blood discovery, evaluating the discovery for problems for exclusion, toxicology, and ALR hearings. Attendees earned a total of 8 Continuing Legal Education or CLE credits from the seminar.

Matt discussed final arguments, which is where each party’s representative gives a closing statement. Lawyers have the opportunity to persuade the jurors to vote in their favor through the key evidence presented in court.

He has over a hundred trials and contested motions under his belt and is dedicated to fighting for his client’s rights inside and outside the courtroom.
