Surinam Airways (Surinaamse Luchtvaart Maatschappij-SLM) is the flag carrier of Suriname, based in Paramaribo.

The carrier operates regional and long-haul scheduled passenger services under its codes but is struggling.

Surinam Airways is wholly owned by the Government of Suriname.

COVID-19 forced the flag carrier to give up the leases of its aircraft. The carrier does not currently have any aircraft. It is forced to find operators to sub-lease their aircraft to Surinam in order to operate their coded flights.

The premier route is from Paramaribo to Amsterdam. Airhub Airlines has been operating the route but recent cancellations have stranded passengers.
