When you’re looking for a game to truly get absorbed in, you can’t beat an open world game. There’s often a key storyline to follow, but with branching paths to explore and a vast universe at your protagonist’s feet, you’re often free to go where you want, tackling missions in any order you see fit. No other genre gives you the same level of freedom, and it’s exhilarating.
