Revival Introduces New DEX and Governance Token

Revival has created a platform in which users can diversify, grow and safeguard their crypto investments while earning BNB rewards. Revival also strives to build fundamental foundations for individuals, businesses and crypto startups to develop and thrive within the DeFi sector.

Any investor holding 10B RVL or more automatically receives reflections and can watch their crypto portfolio grow in real-time via the ‘Revival Wallet Connect' feature. Investors can withdraw their BNB at any time or reinvest the rewards back into the Revival protocol to generate more earnings.

The team behind the platform is fully doxxed and rug screened to instill investor confidence in the DeFi platform. The project has also submitted their smart contract for an audit by DessertSwap to guarantee Revival's investors that their funds are in safe hands.

RevivalDex: A New Way to Earn Rewards

The Revival team is delighted to introduce its new DEX platform that offers more options for RVL holders to earn more rewards.dividends. The DEX facilitates the expansion of the BNB reward system on Revival, which has so far issued 1100+ BNB in rewards to holders.

The RevivalDEX will enhance this reward system by integrating a new option for holders to stake their RVL and earn more tokens. Holders can also stake RVL to bag VVL, the platform's new governance token.

The DEX also facilitates the team to create many additional pairs for the RVL token, offering holders more options than just RVL/BNB.

New tokens that will soon be available for pairing with RVL include leading stablecoins USDT and BUSD. The introduction of more pairs is excellent for Revival; it enables the DeFi project to broaden its reach and build a cryptocurrency compatible with mass adoption.

Users would need to add equal amounts of any available pair, say RVL/USDT or RVL/BNB, to the liquidity pool (LP) via RevivalDEX. They then get an LP token that serves as proof that a holder owns that portion of the liquidity. LP holders can use this placeholder token to redeem their liquidity pair at any time.

Earn more on the Revival Farms and DripPools

RevivalDEX is designed to be dynamic and offers token holders diverse options to earn more BEP-20 tokens just for holding. It introduces a new “Farms” tab on which holders can leverage their LP tokens to generate more RVL or VVL.

Investors have a different ‘wrapper' option that allows them to ‘wrap' RVL into WRVL, a token of equal value at all times that is transferable back into an equal amount of RVL. Holders can add their WRVL to a Revival liquidity pool and use it to receive rewards in RVL or VVL.

An even more straightforward way to generate more passive income is to utilize the Revival Drift pools. This option allows users to lock RVL or VVL for a day, week or month and receive lucrative rewards.

About the VVL Governance Token

VVL is RVL's CEX-centric, supplementary token that allows the community to vote on the future development of the Revival project.

The newly launched token supports the Revival DeFi system by working with RVL to deliver additional options to holders. VVL introduces a more straightforward way of delivering rewards and fills gaps within the Revival ecosystem that RVL cannot fill alone.

Connect with the Revival Community

Revival is dedicated to fostering DeFi growth while offering investors diverse ways to generate passive earning streams. The project is developing ‘Kickstand', a unique all-in-one crowdfunding app that allows users to create, view and fund upcoming projects.

Investors can join the Revival movement by purchasing RVL on PancakeSwap and FEGex. They can track the token's price action on crypto ranking sites CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko.

Balancing IPR and Global Health: COVID-19 Vaccines

As most readers will be aware, the period of time between 2020-2021 has been marked with unprecedented disaster and suffering. 2020 started out with the Australian wildfires, which was followed by rising geo-political tensions, and then of course, COVID-19 spread rapidly across the globe. Once COVID-19 vaccines were invented, concern then shifted to availability of said vaccines across the world. This was especially concerning in the poorer countries of the developing world. It goes without saying that the countries with the deepest pockets were able to stockpile enough vaccines for their populations while developing countries were not as fortunate. One of the most conspicuous barriers of global availability of these vaccines were the patents that the manufacturers had over them, as is the case with any pharmaceutical product.

Raising the Bar Has Not Reduced the Patent Acceptance Rate in Australia

Raising the Bar Has Not Reduced the Patent Acceptance Rate in Australia

High JumpData on patent acceptances into 2021 confirms that the Intellectual Property Laws Amendment (Raising the Bar) Act 2012 (‘RtB Act’), which came into effect on 15 April 2013, has had a minimal impact on the rate of patent application acceptance in Australia – and to the extent that an effect is present, it does not run in the direction that might be expected!  Here, I define ‘rate of acceptance’ as the proportion of examined applications that go on to be accepted for grant.  Between 2009 and 2013, the rate at which applications subject to the former (i.e. pre-RtB) provisions were accepted rose from 69% to 72%.  In comparison, the acceptance rate of post-RtB applications has stabilised at around 75% in each year between 2017 and 2021.

Some people may have anticipated that, in raising the standard of inventive step and introducing stricter requirements for enablement and support of claims, the RtB reforms would result in fewer applications being accepted.  I was not one of those people, and I expect that neither were most other patent attorneys.  Those of us who work on behalf of patent applicants are well-aware that, firstly, most of those applicants are seeking patent protection in other jurisdictions that have high standards of patentability, and are not wasting time and money on equivalent Australian applications for inventions that do not meet those standards.  And, secondly, encountering a higher bar to acceptance does not necessarily mean abandoning the application altogether; often it may simply mean settling for a more limited scope of protection.

Perhaps more surprisingly, however, raising standards of patentability has not resulted in applicants making more rounds of amendment to their applications in order to achieve acceptance.  In fact, if anything applications examined under the post-RtB provisions have been, on average, subject to fewer amendments in examination than pre-RtB applications.

Interestingly, in the transition between the two legal regimes, the earliest applications to be examined under the provisions of the RtB Act had acceptance rates in excess of 90%, while acceptance rates of the last applications to be examined under the former provisions fell to below 50%.  These effects are most likely attributable to the respective applicants’ strategies in pursuing early examination of post-RtB applications, and in persisting to the bitter end with some pre-RtB applications.

Another interesting observation is that expedited examination has become increasingly popular in the years since the RtB reforms commenced, rising from just under 6% of all cases in 2014/15 to over 8% in 2020/21.  In particular, expedited examination under the Global Patent Prosecution Highway (GPPH) program rose from just 2.7% of cases in 2013/14 to 5.1% in 2019/20.  In fact, GPPH requests were the majority of all expedited examination requests in every post-RtB year except for the first (2013/14).

Finally, the most recent data confirms (once again) that the duration of patent prosecution (i.e. from examination request through to acceptance, in successful cases) has reduced significantly – from a median of over 600 days, to a little more than 400 days – since commencement of the RtB reforms.  This has been due, in almost exactly equal parts, to the tighter time constraints imposed on applicants, and to reductions in Patent Office delays in commencing examination after a request has been filed.

StandPoint Finance is Negotiating the Opening of Its Own Bitcoin Mining Farm…

Standpoint Finance (STF) announces its resolve to establish its Bitcoin mining farm, hinting that negotiation is ongoing. The farm will house high-powered computers that would solve complex computational math problems. According to Investopedia, a leading source of financial content on the internet, Bitcoin mining is the process of creating new bitcoin by solving those computational maths puzzles. Tom Wood, Standpoint Finance's VP business development, stated in a statement on Friday that the company decided to join other companies that already own or are planning to own their Bitcoin mining farm. The decision comes after the company deliberated on a report submitted by the company's team of crypto market analysts. The company's analyst team had earlier been charged with a responsibility to investigate the prospect in the Bitcoin mining business.

“After carefully examining the crypto ecosystem in general and specifically the bitcoin market, we can see long-term constant growth in the daily trading volumes as more and more general services, online e-commerce as well as a traditional offline business willing to accept crypto as a legal tender. We believe that this constant rise in demand will inevitably lead to a rise in price which we believe will send bitcoin beyond the 100,000 USD marks in 2-3 years” Tom Wood said.

From the report submitted, Bitcoin price is projected to continue to rise, as available market statistics show a long-term upward trajectory. STF market analyst team projects that Bitcoin price will surpass the 100,000 USD mark in the next three years. Owing to that projection, the group of analysts believes that Bitcoin mining would become a top-flying investment opportunity. STF intends to harness the opportunity by owning a Bitcoin mining farm. As part of the ongoing negotiation, the company is considering the possibility of a joint venture or independent initiative.

Although it is unclear how STF will eventually proceed, the company has opened its doors to investors and other companies that would be interested in partnering to own a Bitcoin mining farm. One clear thing is that the company intends to replicate the success it has recorded so far in its brokerage business in this new venture. Tom Wood further stressed that the company would be employing the best hands to ensure the Bitcoin mining farm do not only come to fruition but be successful.
