HBO’s The Last of Us live-action TV adaptation aiming for 2023 release

Although it would admittedly be entirely forgivable if you'd forgotten about The Last of Us' live-action TV adaptation given the sheer tsunami of other video game adaptations in the works right now, those that'd been hoping to see Sony's acclaimed blockbuster brought to life on the small-to-mid-sized screen at some point this year will have to wait a little longer - HBO has now confirmed the series won't be airing until next year at least.

It's perhaps not a total shock given recent word on the project indicated filming in Alberta, Canada was still ongoing and would continue until July, but HBO chief content officer Casey Bloys has now made it official. "It's not going to air in 2022," he told Deadline, "they are still shooting in Canada. I imagine you will see it in '23".

A BioShock movie is on the way from Netflix

Bioshock movie netflixAre you sick of games that have absolutely no business being movies getting turned into movies? Of course, you are. In better news, that BioShock movie that we heard about like a decade ago is actually getting made — and it’s going to be on Netflix. Today, the streaming giant announced that a movie based on the game about Big Daddies and body-altering chemicals is in talks. According to The Hollywood Reporter, however, no major personnel have yet to sign onto the project. I’m sure they can get Paul Thomas Anderson to direct. What’s more, Netflix and Take Two are apparently gearing up to set off an entire cinematic universe and not just one movie. Okay, that worries me a little bit. As it’s specifically mentioned that this is BioShock and not BioShock Infinite, I’d wager that the initial movie will be taking us to Rapture instead of elsewhere. Although it’s possible we’ll go into the clouds eventually, depending on how well the audience...

Cyberpunk 2077 Update 1.5 Patch Notes are Gigantic and Game-Changing

We hope you like scrolling.

Cyberpunk 2077's long awaited update 1.5 is finally here (alongside the PS5 version of Cyberpunk 2077) and the patch notes are colossal. This is a truly huge update that promises to both add to and improve the overall Night City experience. Improvements range from AI overhauls and perk system reworkings to quest adjustments and open world streaming.

A lot of it is honestly the kind of stuff that should have been in the game from the beginning, but at least it's here now, and it might be enough to warrant a second chance for Cyberpunk 2077 on PlayStation consoles.
