Nintendo says it's interested in the idea of the metaverse. But it would only join the fray if it give it the 'Nintendo approach'.

Meta is hosting a Foo Fighters concert after Super Bowl LVI to promote its work building VR headsets and a platform for multiplayer virtual worlds. You don't have to own a VR headset, though, to see the performance. Here's how to see the concert:

Zuckerberg told investors Meta plans to launch "a version of Horizon on mobile" this year, explaining that while "the deepest and most immersive experiences" in the metaverse will be in VR, "you’re also going to be able to access the worlds from your Facebook or Instagram apps as well".

Meta is adding to its avatars system new facial shapes as well as assistive devices for people with disabilities designed to "better reflect the billions of unique people on this planet."
