Gamescom 2022 Returns in August as Largest In-Person Gaming Expo

German show brings back public attendance.

COVID-19 brought with it a huge shift in the way we do things, and it continues to impact businesses and events around the world. This obviously extends to gaming exhibitions such as Gamescom, which have been operating on a purely digital level since 2020. This year, however, the German show will be returning to in-person attendance, inviting the public back to the huge expo later this year.

As reported by VentureBeat, Gamescom 2022 won't sell as many tickets as it used to, but co-organiser Felix Falk says it will still be the "world's largest game expo" when it opens between 24th and 28th August.
