One use of the DualSense controller that we adored in Astro’s Playroom is the way some levels allow you to feel the sensation of raindrops in your hands. It’s something that developers have been hesitant to replicate, so hats off to Rockstar for going the extra mile in GTA 5. The developer’s upcoming next-gen remaster actually sounds like it will use the full range of PlayStation 5 features, including the ability to feel Los Santos’ weather.

Writing on the PlayStation Blog, here’s what it said specifically of PS5’s innovative controller: “Feel every moment of the action through the DualSense wireless controller’s adaptive triggers and advanced haptic feedback, giving players the ability to experience new sensations such as changes in the road surface texture, additional sensations from specific weather effects, directional damage, feedback from explosions, and more.” Sounds great!
