Silicon Valley based Founder Institute appoints Mohammed Jega as Director

The founder Institute has appointed VoguePay’s Chief of Business Development and   Founder of StartupArewa, Mohammed Ibrahim Jega as one of the directors to manage the affairs of the Abuja Chapter of the body. This appointment was made during the official launch of the Founder Institute Abuja chapter. 

The Founder Institute is a Silicon-Valley based program that has chapters in over 185 cities worldwide. The Founder Institute is the world’s premier pre-seed startup accelerator.

The institute was founded to help tech startups get traction and funding with a support network of startup experts.

Since 2009, the Founder Institute has helped over  4,000 Alumni raise over $900M funding, get into seed-accelerators, generate traction, recruit a team, build a product, transition from employee to entrepreneur, and more (see the FI 10 Year Impact Report here).

At the launch of the Abuja chapter, the Regional Director, Founder Institute, Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata Jnr., said that  “Startups in Abuja now have the unique opportunity of joining other startups in various other cities across the globe benefit from FI’s hard-core, time tested curriculum and global network.”

Other Directors appointed at the event include  Abdulrazaq Ahmed (Founder, Work and connect Hub), Christian Ndubisi. (Co-founder, 42 NG), and Fisayo Olabisi (CEO, Tukio Konsults)

Apart from the director, many other successful founders in Nigeria have expressed interest in helping Abuja 2020 Founder Institute participants
