Safarilink De Havilland Canada DHC-8-300 (5Y-SLK) was damaged after colliding mid-air with a Cessna 172 shortly after take-off from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport in Kenya.
The Cessna 172 was operated by Ninety-Nines Flying School and crashed in the game park about 10km (six miles) from the airport.
Safarilink Aviation reported that this morning at 9:45 Local Time our flight number 053 with 39 passengers and 5 crew on board headed to Diani experienced a loud bang soon after take-off.
