Hangzhou Spark Announces Signing of 20 Players Ahead of 2023 Season

The Hangzhou Spark, one of the newest teams in the Overwatch League, has announced the signing of 20 players ahead of the 2023 season. The team, which is owned by Chinese esports organization Bilibili, is looking to build a strong roster for the upcoming season.

The Spark has signed players from all over the world, including North America, Europe, and Asia. The team has signed a mix of veterans and rookies, with some of the most notable signings being former Los Angeles Valiant player Indy “SPACE” Halpern, former Philadelphia Fusion player Park “Profit” Joon-yeong, and former San Francisco Shock player Kim “Rascal” Dong-jun.

The team is also looking to build a strong coaching staff for the upcoming season. They have already signed former Los Angeles Gladiators head coach David “dpei” Pei, who will serve as the team’s head coach. The team has also signed former Houston Outlaws assistant coach Kim “KDG” Dong-gun and former Seoul Dynasty assistant coach Lee “Hocury” Ho-cheol.

The Spark have also signed several players from China, including former Shanghai Dragons player Zhang “YangXiaoLong” Zhihao and former Chengdu Hunters player Li “Yveltal” Xianyao. This is a sign that the team is looking to build a strong Chinese presence in the Overwatch League.
