Bitcoin Giant WazirX has listed PAXG as one of its own and millennials can’t wait for the grand giveaway to commence. Paxos has created a digital asset called PAX Gold (PAXG). Each PAXG token is backed by a fine troy ounce (t oz) of a 400 oz London Good Delivery gold bar, which is held in Brink’s vaults. PAXG holders will also own the underlying physical gold held in Paxos Trust Company’s custody.
Users may opt to redeem their PAXG tokens with Paxos and earn the USD equivalent of their tokens. If a user has more than 430 PAXG tokens, she has the option of exchanging them for actual gold bars.
Both the development and redemption of the PAXG token are subject to fees from Paxos. On the Paxos website, the minimum purchasable amount is 0.01 PAXG. The New York State Department of Financial Services has approved the issuance of PAXG (NYDFS).
