By 2022, the comic book giant Marvel would release digital collectibles, 3D models, and “NFT comic books.” Wolverine, Spiderman, Iron Man, and Captain America are some of Marvel’s most well-known characters.

Marvel Entertainment Collaborates With VeVe To Release Official NFTs By 2022

Another big brand is making inroads into the NFT crypto-collectibles sector, with Disney-owned Marvel Entertainment announced this week that it would offer its first official NFTs by 2022 via the VeVe Digital Collectibles app.

Marvel, of course, is the comic book titan turned entertainment icon that has spun legendary superheroes such as Spider-Man, the Avengers, and the X-Men out of decades of comic stories into blockbuster films, TV series, video games, memorabilia, and more.

According to the entertainment company, the NFTs would contain digital artifacts and comic books that Marvel fans will be able to exchange and exhibit in virtual showrooms.

“We hope to push the boundaries of what Marvel fandom can be, starting with personal and interactive digital collectibles that, through NFTs, fans can truly collect, share, and enjoy in ways they haven’t been able to do before,” said Daniel Fink, Marvel’s vice president of business development and strategy.

According to the company’s press announcement, Marvel NFT collectibles, 3D sculptures, and digital comics will be released, which is consistent with the NFT souvenirs that VeVe offers based on other entertainment companies. 

Its digital collectibles are 3D models that may be viewed on a smart device, in virtual reality, or even in augmented reality in the real world. Marvel and VeVe have not yet released any photos of the upcoming NFTs.

VeVe Also Collaborates With DC Comics And Several Other Entertainment Companies

NFTs act as a deed of ownership for rare digital goods and may be verified via a blockchain. Digital artwork, film clips, trade cards, and video game objects, as well as VeVe’s interactive 3D models, are among the treasures.

VeVe already offers licensed NFTs from companies including Adventure Time, Star Trek, Jurassic Park, and Ghostbusters. VeVe says that their marketplace has sold over 580,000 digital 3D model collectibles so far. More than 340,000 people use the app.
