Another week, another teaser of what’s to come from EA and Criterion Games’ upcoming street racing game Need For Speed Unbound.

For this week, it’s the reveal of The Takeover, the racing series where actual rap star A$AP Rocky presides.

The Takeover is more or less gymkhana- you pull drifts, jumps and smash collectibles around a specific part of Lakeshore to get a high score- the bigger the combo the better. Rocky will be judging your efforts, deriding your awful runs or giving some nice words of encouragement if you impress him.

You can do practice runs during the day, and then compete for real at night.

Need For Speed Unbound has so far offered glimmers of gameplay- all the gameplay trailers are less than two minutes long.

But at least we know now the car list, the full open world map, the many car customisation options available, confirmation of cop chases, and how the outlandish driving effects can be customised.

Need For Speed Unbound will be out on December 2 on the PS5, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, EA App) and Xbox Series X|S.
