Horse racing champion Damien Oliver is one of Australia’s most successful jockeys.
He has won three Melbourne Cups and earlier this year broke the record for most Group One race wins.
Oliver is also planning to contest more races this spring.

FIRST HOME
The 6 Kingston Ave, Ascot Vale, home Damien Oliver bought as a first home.
The three-bedroom house is currently for sale and includes a sauna.
The first home I bought was at 6 Kingston Ave, Ascot Vale. I lived not too far around the corner while I was an apprentice and bought it in the early 1990s.
It was a good area, I liked it and I’d been there since I came over from Perth. I renovated it when I bought it, then I lived there probably for about three or four years.
But while I was in Hong Kong David Hall (trainer of Makybe Diva) rented it from me.
The home was sold for $1.325m via horse trainer and Pagan Real Estate boss Denis Pagan ahead of a planned auction this weekend.
CURRENT HOME
The 98 Beach St, Port Melbourne, home Damien Oliver moved from to his current home.
I’ve been living in Port Melbourne for about 25 years, though we’re in our second home now (the first, at 98 Beach St, was sold in 2015).
We really love the area, and the home is two or three blocks back from the beach.
I reckon this part of Port Melbourne is one of the best kept secrets in Melbourne.
Plus we have a pool and a sauna at this one, which is one of the perks of the job (being a jockey).
DREAM HOME

My dream home would be close to the beach, maybe somewhere a bit warmer and I do like the tropics.
I probably wouldn’t have a sauna in that one, but a nice ocean view with a pool and close to the surf would be even better. I ride a Pyzel shortboard, so it would be good to get more time on that.
