Mojo Vision has revealed the most advanced prototype of its augmented reality (AR) contact lens yet.
The AR contact lens prototype contains advanced hardware innovations in the areas of display, communications, power, and eye tracking, making the lens ready to serve as a springboard to further develop, test and iterate new ‘invisible computing’ experiences.
The startup has also reached the point of being able to run the new AR contact lens prototype on a custom and foundational operating system.

Mojo Vision has been developing Mojo Lens since at least 2019, aiming to create a smart contact lens capable of ‘invisible computing’—or overlaying images, symbols and text on users’ natural field of vision without obstructing their view, restricting mobility or hindering social interactions.
So far, we’ve only been given glimpses of the AR contact lens and promises of what it might achieve. We do know that Mojo Vision is initially marketing the lens as a discreet low vision aid, at the same time as exploring its potential to support athletes and sports enthusiasts.
With advances in hardware and software making an AR contact lens prototype that matches the startup’s invisible computing vision possible, Mojo Vision is prepared to go on the record and begin demonstrating how its technology will deliver.
