The coach’s contract has been terminated after a year-long tenure.
MAD Lions have parted ways with Luis “peacemaker” Tadeu, the Spanish organization has announced. The team is now without a head coach following the 32-year-old Brazilian’s departure.
The coach’s contract was terminated shortly after the team underwent active roster changes, with MAD Lions acquiring Thomas “TMB” Bundsbæk from AGF to fill the void left by Frederik “acoR” Gyldstrand, who had transferred to mousesports in January.
peacemaker had been a part of MAD Lions since the organization signed the V4 Future Sports Festival-winning roster around Nicolai “HUNDEN” Petersen in late 2019. Asger “AcilioN” Larsen took the in-game leader’s place just three months later and the team went on to clinch the trophy at Flashpoint 1 within weeks, but since then they’ve been plagued with lineup issues amid middling results.
In July, Lucas “Bubzkji” Andersen was acquired by Astralis while the squad decided to go international with the signing of Paweł “innocent” Mocek. That project only lasted two months as MAD Lions returned to a Danish-speaking roster by October, with the Pole and AcilioN replaced by Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen and Ismail “refrezh” Ali.
With TMB now taking acoR‘s place, as well, the team is down to just two players from the original lineup MAD Lions acquired a little over a year ago.
The following five are without a coach:
Rasmus “sjuush” Beck
Fredrik “roeJ” Jørgensen
Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen
Ismail “refrezh” Ali
Thomas “TMB” Bundsbæk
