Los Angeles-based law firm Morrison Rothman LLP has named Adam Gertz to the newly-created role of head of esports. Gertz joined the firm in May of 2019, and is vacating his role as senior counsel for the new position. 

Prior to joining Morrison Rothman, Gertz served as counsel and cybersecurity advisory to Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti. He is also a member of the Esports Bar Association, a non-profit, international organization dedicated to providing a forum of discussion for legal professionals and the esports industry.

Morrison Rothman represents the interests of the actors, musicians, esports players, streamers, influencers, and content creators, and also handles trademark and IP portfolios, corporate restructurings, major investments, partnership and sponsorship contracts, Digital Millennium Act (DMCA) issues, copyright infringement, and more.
