KM Malta Airlines was born from the assets of former Air Malta as previously reported. The government of Malta wanted a new start for its flag carrier.
Instead of launching with a dramatic new look, the new carrier was launched with the old look of former Air Malta.
The pictured 9H-NEF is now wearing just “Malta” titles (KM is not visible on the aircraft). Is is Malta Airlines or KM Malta Airlines? (KM is the code). From a marketing standpoint, these simple titles could lead to confusion for the traveling public.
The carrier simply removed the “Air” portion of the former Air Malta titles. The livery remains the same.
