Interjet has been formally declared bankrupt by a Mexican judge according to Reuters.
Interjet ceased operations in December 2020, hampered by a crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Interjet was the third largest airline in Mexico.
Former Interjet employees launched a strike in January 2021 and seized most of the Interjet’s assets, including its airport counters at Mexico City Benito Juárez International.
