Batman game Gotham Knights has been delayed to 2022, Warner Bros. announced Friday. The developer says it needs more time to make sure the game reaches the standards the studio has set for itself.
“We are giving the game more time to deliver the best possible experience for players,” WB Games wrote on Twitter. “Thank you to our amazing fans for your tremendous support of Gotham Knights. We look forward to showcasing more of the game in the coming months.”

Gotham Knights, originally slated for release this year, is an open-world game based on a comic series in which Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing and Red Hood (various members of the Bat Family) team up to keep Gotham safe after Batman is reported dead. The game’s existence leaked in June 2020, before WB’s official announcement in August.
It is now the second major WB game to be delayed into 2022, following Harry Potter: Hogwarts Legacy’s move to next year.
