On Sept. 17, Twitch and FaZe Clan are partnering with Twitch Rivals that bring some of the most popular streamers together to face off against professional athletes inside of Call of Duty: Warzone.
“Twitch Rivals: FaZe Face-Off featuring Warzone,” the first in a series of events hosted by the two organizations will feature popular streamers, sports stars, and entertainment personalities including Yousef “Apex” Abdelfattah, Brian “Rug” Awadis, Thomas “Temperrr” Oliveira, Nick “NICKMERCS” Kolcheff, Kris “Swagg” Lamberson, Ali “SypherPK“ Hassan, Mason “Symfuhny” Lanier, Vikram “Vikstar” Singh Barn, and Aydan “Aydan” Conrad, along with Ben Simmons (Philadelphia 76ers), Josh Hart (New Orleans Pelicans), Meyers Leonard (Miami Heat), Allie Long (OL Reign), Zach LaVine (Chicago Bulls), and Tarik Cohen (Chicago Bears). In addition, musicians including Marshmello, SuperDuperKyle, Slim Jxmmi of Rae Sremmurd, Lil Durk, Dimitri Vegas, Alan Walker, and Carnage will also be participating.
Considered a pro-am event, the competition will consist of up to 20 teams of four players each competing against each other in a Call of Duty: Warzone showdown for a total cash prize pool of $75K USD provided by Twitch and exclusive merchandise provided by FaZe Clan. During the stream, viewers will have access to exclusive content as well as giveaways from FaZe Clan.
Twitch is a global community where millions come together every day to chat, interact, and co-create their own entertainment. 2020 programming for Twitch Rivals has seen events featuring games such as Fall Guys, Dota 2, VALORANT, and MADDEN, along with sponsors including MTN AMP GAME FUEL, Verizon, and Doritos.
