Falcons Trade for CB Rashad Fenton

Date:

Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Rashad Fenton has been traded to the Atlanta Falcons in a last-second trade deadline move. The Falcons are one of many teams to both trade away and trade for players during this 2022 trade deadline.

ESPN’s Field Yates reported the news via Twitter on Tuesday.

Fenton was a sixth round draft pick by the Chiefs in the 2019 NFL Draft. This means that he became a Super Bowl champion in his rookie year, as the Chiefs beat the 49ers in Super Bowl LIV. The Falcons will be his second team during his four-year NFL tenure.

He has only played five games in 2022, as he lost his roster spot after Week 5. During those five games, Fenton has two pass deflections and an impressive 24 combined tackles. His only two NFL interceptions came in 2019 and 2021.
