The notable transaction represents the highest sales price for a single-family home on an intracoastal lot in St. Augustine, as well as the highest sales price the market has seen thus far in 2021. According to Zillow, this home is valued 757-percent higher than the typical home in the same zip code. Home values in Butler Beach have gone up nearly 7-percent over the past twelve months and predictions indicate home values will continue to increase an additional 6-percent within the next year.

The area became the only stretch of beach between Daytona Beach and American Beach where African-Americans were allowed to enjoy the sand and the sea.
