A year has passed since Arkane Lyon’s time-looping stealth-action killer Deathloop has released on PS5 and PC. So it’s about time for the console exclusivity to lapse and head to Xbox.

At Xbox’s Tokyo Game Show 2022 stream, it was announced that Deathloop is heading to Xbox Series X|S as well as to Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.

The version heading to Xbox will feature all the post-launch updates, so you will have your photo mode and new accessibility options, and will support cross-play matchmaking for the invasions.

The trailer shown at the stream (full stream here) is all in Japanese dub, even the music played, Deja Vu, has Japanese lyrics. Publisher Bethesda is committed in providing JP localisation and it shows.

Fans who have played Deathloop over and over and over again might have spotted something new in the trailer. Alongside the Xbox release, Deathloop will be getting a “GOLDENLOOP” Update which adds a new weapon (that new laser gun), a new ability (the power to turn an enemy’s allegiance), new enemy types and even an extended ending.

Deathloop launches on Xbox Series X|S on September 20. The game will also be available on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass. You can check out our review of the game here.
