Consensys Will Integrate MyCrypto Wallet With MetaMask

ConsenSys will integrate MyCrypto wallet with MetaMask wallet in order to improve security for its users as we can see further in today’s latest cryptocurrency news.

The blockchain software technology company ConsenSys acquired the ETH wallet interface provider MyCrypto in order to integrate it with MetaMask. Announcing the acquisition in an official blog post, the company noted that MetaMask and MyCrypto will bring their efforts together to improve the security of the products and create a new user experience that will connect it on desktop, mobile and browser wallets. Right now, MetaMask boasts more than 21 million monthly active users and it is one of the most popular wallets because of stability and compatibility that provide security solutions for the users it Is also a very popular non-custodial wallet for mobile globally.

Consensys will integrate MyCrypto wallet with MetaMask to more platforms and encourage more integrations with the wallet but it will provide users with an enhanced experience. Speaking of the acquisition Dan Finlay as the co-founder of Metamask noted:

Although Consensys didn’t disclose the terms of the acquisition, the company noted that both wallets will operate independently in the near term with a the goal to merge features and brands. The CEO of MyCrypto Taylor Monahan noted:

“With the rapid growth of the ecosystem and products racing to ship slick features, it is imperative that the leading wallet continues to build foundational and secure self-custody tools that empower the user. Combining our years of experience and shared values allows us to accelerate our mission of providing a way for users to fully realize their self-sovereignty.”

The unified product offerings will be led by Dan Finlay and Aaron Davis as well as 12 employees from MyCrypto’s team that will join Consensys.
