We’re excited to fund Craftstone Knives in and help provide unique yet functional kitchen tools that enhance daily food preparation – Andrew D’Souza, CEO and co-founder, Clearco

Clearco, the world’s largest e-commerce investor and the company revolutionizing the way founders grow their businesses, today announced that its ClearAngel program is funding Craftstone Knives, a Canadian-based supplier of fine-quality custom-knives. ClearAngel gives early-stage founders access to revenue share capital, data-driven advice, and Clearco’s extensive network of apps, agencies, and investors.

Craftstone Knives is the first-to-market provider of customizable knives at scale. Fusing his passion for creativity and food, Gabriel Schmerler cut into the market in 2018 when he noticed a market need for fully-personalized knives. ClearAngel’s support has empowered Craftstone Knives to create a B2B strategy that offers branded merchandise to third parties.

ClearAngel is a new, equity-free, flexible capital option for early-stage founders who don’t have the network to raise an angel round or join exclusive accelerators. The program has already funded more than 350 companies since its February 2021 launch.

“We’re excited to fund Craftstone Knives to help provide unique yet functional kitchen tools that enhance daily food preparation,” said Andrew D’Souza, CEO and co-founder, Clearco. “This most recent ClearAngel grant reflects our dedication to change the face of fundraising and support founders beyond capital.”

In addition to $10,000 of flexible capital, Craftstone Knives will also get access to a network of more than 500 investors, growth teams, agencies, apps, lawyers, and buyers; and data-driven advice designed to help scale and hit new revenue milestones. Now, ClearAngel’s funding and mentorship will drive new revenue channels and support web updates for Craftstone Knives, helping to further its mission to help give people a unique and functional kitchen tool that enhances their daily food preparation.

“ClearAngel’s support is invaluable because it will allow us to enter a larger market while providing fully-customizable, one-of-a-kind knives that celebrate individuality, special events, and loved ones,” said Gabriel Schmerler, founder, Craftstone Knives.
